Housing Program

Through our Housing Program, we strive to not only address immediate housing needs but also to foster long-term stability and self-sufficiency for families experiencing homelessness, offering hope and a pathway to a brighter future.

Housing Program Phases

  • 120-Day Housing Program

Our 120-Day Program is designed to provide assistance and support to families trying to break the cycle of homelessness. We recognize that families need a solution and individualized case plan, not just free shelter and food. In the 120-Day Program, each family stays in a furnished 2-bedroom apartment with no charge for rent and utilities. Residents are required to save a minimum of 50% of their income in a trust account and engage in our wraparound services: weekly case management, weekly therapy, bi-weekly L.E.A.R.N, and employment services to ensure they develop the proper tools for a sustainable and independent future. Clients must be agree to be focused, committed and engaged. We believe in offering our clients a hand-up and not a hand-out.

  • 1-Year Housing Program

Upon the successful completion of the 120-Day Program, some clients may access our continuum of care through our 1-Year Housing Program. This is contingent upon vacancies and client progress in the 120-Day Program. Clients are expected to pay 30% of their income for rent, as well as utilities. Wraparound services are based on self-accountability to ensure that clients transition from low-functioning dependency to sustainable, community contributors. Each household is required to continue saving 20% of their income to prepare for their exit. Clients continue to engage in our wraparound services: bi-weekly case management, bi-weekly therapy, bi-weekly L.E.A.R.N and employment services to ensure they develop the proper tools for a sustainable and independent future.

  • Extended Housing Program

Addressing the sustained needs of families beyond the 1-year option, we provide 8 two-bedroom apartments to ensure a secure and affordable home for families as they persist in rebuilding their lives. During this program phase, participants are mandated to save 10% of their income, maintain a minimum of 35 working hours per week, engage in monthly Case Management sessions, and partake in life-skills courses twice a month. Families can avail themselves of this opportunity for up to 3 years, with a monthly rent of $1,100, and utility responsibilities falling on the client. This cost-effective housing initiative empowers families to continue saving funds, preparing for inflation and the heightened housing expenses they may encounter beyond our program. Notably, one successful family accumulated over $40,000 in savings upon completing this phase of the program.
