    Bonnie Cole

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Bonnie Cole is our Executive Director and has been with Foothill Family Shelter since 2011. With over 30 years of experience in business management across city government, for-profit, and non-profit sectors, she brings extensive expertise to her role. Her responsibilities include program oversight, office management, public relations, donor cultivation, and grant and board development. Her passion and dedication guide her in leading day-to-day operations and ensuring the agency continues to thrive.

    Stephanie Mauss

    ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

    With over two decades of experience spanning the corporate, non-profit, medical, and educational sectors, Stephanie brings a rich blend of leadership, compassion, and strategic expertise to her role. Her professional journey has been defined by a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and community empowerment—values that align perfectly with the shelter’s mission of helping families rebuild and thrive.

    Having held leadership and Board positions across multiple non-profits and corporations, Stephanie brings a strong background in operations, diversity and inclusion, community support, and international humanitarian work in Africa. For more than a decade, she has worked closely with families experiencing homelessness, helping them access resources, regain confidence, and move toward lasting independence. Her favorite part of this work is witnessing the moment when hope returns—when families begin to believe again in their ability to build the future they’ve always dreamed of.

    Deanna Alsdorf

    DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    Deanna Alsdorf serves as our Development Manager and has been with Foothill Family Shelter since 2017. She leads community development with a heart for people and a drive to make a difference. She fosters meaningful relationships, builds partnerships, and creates opportunities for the community to engage with and support the shelter’s mission. With a passion for connecting people to purpose, Deanna believes in the power of compassion and collaboration to create lasting change.

    CASE MANAGER

    Linda is a Case Manager who thrives on connecting with clients, understanding their unique situations, and supporting them in achieving their goals. She is passionate about providing guidance, encouragement, and resources that make a real difference. Linda’s passion for case management is driven by a desire to help clients overcome barriers, feel empowered, and succeed. Every day, she looks forward to building trust and helping her clients take meaningful steps toward a brighter future.

    Crystal Hardy

    CASE MANAGER

    Crystal Hardy serves as a Case Manager here at Foothill Family Shelter. She works closely with individuals in our programs to create and maintain healthy and efficient lifestyle skills. Crystal's education in behavioral psychology has greatly influenced her approach to help those in need, encouraging self-advocacy and a goal-oriented mentality. Working with those in need has been a continual passion for Crystal, and she is grateful for each day she is able to do so.

    Miranda Hernandez

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Miranda began her journey at Foothill Family Shelter as a Community Services Assistant, where she quickly developed a passion for supporting families and individuals in need. Her dedication, strong organizational skills, and commitment to service led her to her current role as Administrative Assistant. In this position, Miranda plays a key role in keeping daily operations running efficiently and supporting both staff and clients. She takes great pride in being part of a mission-driven team and finds deep fulfillment in contributing to work that has a lasting impact on the lives of others.

    Alejandra Paez

    HELP DESK COORDINATOR

    Alejandra Paez serves as the Help Desk Coordinator at Foothill Family Shelter. She began her journey with the organization as a volunteer in the beginning of 2025, driven by a desire to give back and make a positive impact in her community. Now as a part-time staff member, Alejandra supports the walk-in community, the internal team, and the families we serve by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. Her commitment to helping others and her compassionate approach make her an invaluable part of the FFS team.

    Raquel Sanchez

    COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER

    Raquel Sanchez started as an intern in 2014 and continued to support the shelter as a volunteer for a couple of years before becoming an official staff member in June 2020. Raquel now serves as the Community Services Manager while still overseeing all the volunteers. She has a passion for helping people and enjoys connecting people in ways they can help their community and make a difference.

    Rita Vargas

    PROGRAM SERVICES MANAGER

    Rita Vargas is a driven nonprofit professional with a strong passion for helping individuals and families achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Her journey at Foothill Family Shelter began as a volunteer and, through hard work and dedication, quickly advanced—becoming an intern, then a staff member, and ultimately earning a leadership role. She currently serves as the Program Services Manager, overseeing our program that provides housing, financial guidance, and comprehensive support to those in need. With a heart for service and a solid background in case management, Rita is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those striving for a better future.

    Dwight Voegele

    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

    Dwight is our Maintenance Technician and does a great job maintaining our shelter apartments. He has worked at Foothill Family Shelter for over 9 years. He retired from the Dept of Defense in 2005, where he worked on Facilities Maintenance at March Airbase. He is experienced with plumbing, electrical, heating systems and roofs. We depend on his knowledge to keep our shelter families safe.
