    Bonnie Cole

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Bonnie serves as our Executive Director and has been with Foothill Family Shelter since 2011. With more than 30 years of experience in business management across city government, for-profit, and nonprofit sectors, she brings deep expertise to her role. Her responsibilities include program oversight, office management, public relations, donor cultivation, and grant and board development. Her passion and dedication shape her leadership of daily operations and help ensure the agency continues to thrive.

    Stephanie Mauss

    ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

    With over 20 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, medical, and education sectors, Stephanie brings leadership, compassion, and strategic insight. She is dedicated to empowering communities and creating lasting impact. With leadership and board experience, she specializes in operations, strategic initiatives, and humanitarian work locally and in Africa. For more than a decade, she has supported homeless families in accessing resources, rebuilding confidence, and achieving lasting independence. Her biggest joy is seeing families thrive.

    Deanna Alsdorf

    DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    Deanna serves as our Development Manager and has been a dedicated member of the team since 2017. She leads community development efforts with heart, vision, and a deep commitment to advancing the organization’s mission. Deanna cultivates meaningful relationships, strengthens strategic partnerships, and creates impactful opportunities for the community to engage with and support families experiencing homelessness. With a passion for connecting people to purpose, she believes in the power of collaboration and community investment to create lasting change.

    Linda Contreras

    CASE MANAGER

    Linda serves as a Case Manager and is committed to helping individuals and families achieve stability and self-sufficiency. She assists clients with budgeting, maintains accurate records, ensures compliance with program guidelines, and provides ongoing support through service coordination, responsive care, regular check-ins, and housing inspections. Working at Foothill Family Shelter has brought out the best in her as a worker, student, and co-worker, and deepened her passion for community service.

    Crystal Hardy

    CASE MANAGER

    Crystal serves as a Case Manager at Foothill Family Shelter. She works closely with individuals in our Housing Program to create and maintain healthy and efficient lifestyle skills that support stability and growth. Crystal's education in behavioral psychology has greatly influenced her compassionate approach to help those in need, encouraging self-advocacy and a goal-oriented mentality. Working with those in need has been a continual passion for Crystal, and she is grateful for each day she is able to do so.

    Miranda Hernandez

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Miranda serves as the Administrative Assistant at Foothill Family Shelter, where she supports daily operations and ensures everything runs smoothly. Known for her attention to detail and proactive approach, she keeps systems organized while assisting both staff and clients. Miranda balances structure with compassion, helping create a supportive and efficient environment. She is passionate about her role and takes pride in contributing to a team dedicated to uplifting families and creating lasting community impact.

    Alejandra Paez

    HELP DESK COORDINATOR

    Alejandra serves as the Help Desk Coordinator at Foothill Family Shelter. She began her journey with the organization as a volunteer in 2025, driven by a desire to give back and make a positive impact in her community. Now as a part-time staff member, Alejandra supports the walk-in community, internal team, and families we serve by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. Her commitment to helping others and her compassionate approach make her an invaluable part of the team.

    Raquel Sanchez

    COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER

    Raquel began her journey with Foothill Family Shelter as an intern in 2014 and continued to support the shelter as a volunteer before joining the staff in 2020. Today, she serves as Community Services Manager, where she works alongside volunteers, coordinates donations, and helps run the shelter’s pantry. Raquel loves connecting people with meaningful ways to give back and supporting families in need, making sure every member of the community can play a part in creating positive change.

    Rita Vargas

    PROGRAM SERVICES MANAGER

    Rita serves as our Program Services Manager and leads client services and program operations at Foothill Family Shelter, overseeing case management, program intakes, and support services that help families move from homelessness to stable housing. Rita began her journey with the organization as an intern in 2022 and has grown into leadership through her dedication to the mission. She is most motivated by seeing families rebuild their confidence, reach their goals, and create lasting stability.

    Dwight Voegele

    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

    Dwight serves as our Maintenance Technician and does an excellent job maintaining our shelter apartments. He has been with Foothill Family Shelter for over nine years, and we rely greatly on his skill and dedication. Before joining our team, Dwight worked in Facilities Maintenance at March Air Base for the Department of Defense. He brings extensive experience in plumbing, electrical work, heating systems, and roofing. His knowledge and commitment help keep our shelter families safe.
