  • Savannah Mlot

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Savannah Mlot, the Executive Director at Foothill Family Shelter, brings a wealth of experience in social services and nonprofit management to her role with a Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University and a Master's Degree in Strategic Fundraising from Bay Path University. With a passion for empowering families facing homelessness, she spearheads innovative programs and collaborations aimed at providing comprehensive support and stability to those in need.

  • Bonnie Cole

    ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

    Bonnie Cole currently serves as the Associate Director of Foothill Family Shelter and has been part of our team for more than 12 years.

    As our Accountant she maintains the financial records of our agency, She also provides oversight of the apartments including building maintenance and improvements. Families who need our program services need to feel safe in our housing while they do the work of improving their lives.

  • Rita Vargas

    LEAD CASE MANAGER

    Meet Rita Vargas, a devoted Case Manager at Foothill Family Shelter. Rita brings extensive experience in offering support and advocacy to individuals facing homelessness. Armed with a solid foundation in Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona and a deep-seated commitment to aiding others, Rita's mission is to ensure clients receive the necessary assistance and resources to embark on the journey of rebuilding their lives.

    COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

    Deanna Alsdorf is a dedicated and compassionate individual serving as the Community Development Coordinator With a fervent commitment to making a positive impact, she embodies the values of hope, collaboration, and empowerment. In her role, Deanna undertakes a diverse range of responsibilities, with a primary focus on marketing and community engagement.

  • Raquel Sanchez

    COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER

    Raquel Sanchez started as an intern in 2014 and continued to support the shelter as a volunteer for a couple of years before becoming an official staff member in June 2020. Raquel now serves as the Community Services Manager while still overseeing all the volunteers. She has a passion for helping people and enjoys connecting people in ways they can help their community and make a difference.

  • Dwight Voegele

    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

    Dwight is our Maintenance Technician and does a great job maintaining our shelter apartments. He has worked at Foothill Family Shelter for over 9 years. He retired from the Dept of Defense in 2005, where he worked on Facilities Maintenance at March Airbase. He is experienced with plumbing, electrical, heating systems and roofs. We depend on his knowledge to keep our shelter families safe.
