Introduction

The success of Foothill Family Shelter is dependent on the support of community leaders, individuals and corporations who share our vision. Together, we can provide families a hand up to break the homeless cycle.  We accomplish this through our transitional housing and our continuum of care after they graduate our program.  we work with our clients to  improve their work skills, parenting skills and self esteem so they become productive members of  society  There are a number of ways that you can support us in this important work: We could not fulfill our mission without our generous donors.  Thank you to each of them!

The Harold Eddelestein Foundation’s mission statement is “Help the hungry and homeless and do something about population control, but do it directly in ways that have immediate, maximum effect.”  FFS is thankful to be one of the recipients of funds through “Harold Cares About Your Future, Ask Harold For Help.”  This enables FFS to offer parenting classes for parents between the ages of 14 and 21.  It is a comprehensive 10-week incentive based parenting/employment class held in the evening.  The program includes parenting and referrals, nutrition & health education, job preparation & employment assessment, resume development and substance abuse prevention. Incentive rewards include gift card rewards from Target for attending each session, drawings for gifts and children’s toys, the support and guidance of a mentor and a graduation celebration at a local restaurant.  Transportation assistance is available upon request.  Our next session begins January 23rd.  Please call the shelter @ (909) 920-5568 to enroll.
